By the end of the year, most farmers will have planted over 400 million lettuce plants, according to the Department of Agriculture.
But not everyone will be able to plant enough lettuce for the year.
According to the USDA, the United States is currently in a drought, which means farmers are facing a lot of challenges.
And not all of those challenges are lettuce related.
For instance, the drought has hit California, which is home to a major lettuce production hub.
In fact, the California Department of Water Resources estimates that about 60% of the state’s lettuce is grown in California.
While the drought is expected to persist, the USDA says that there is a lot to be excited about.
“The fact that lettuce is so critical to our agriculture industry, it’s a big factor in keeping us going,” USDA Agriculture Commissioner Patience Van de Water said.
That’s not all that the USDA is hoping for.
The agency says the lettuce crop is going to continue to grow and provide much-needed jobs.
In other words, the U.S. is going through a drought and that is a good thing.
But the United Kingdom, which has been in the midst of a similar drought, is looking to boost its lettuce production.
Britain is in the process of planting about 4.5 million hectares of lettuce, according a new report.
But, like in the U-S, the country is struggling with a shortage of lettuce.
Britain’s National Farmers Union has said that the UK is facing a shortage in lettuce.
So, while the U,S.
and British farmers are all hoping for a bumper crop, the UK needs to grow some lettuce for its own economic survival.
In a statement, the National Farmers Council said, “There is a real danger that we are being driven to the brink of economic collapse.”
So, in an attempt to bolster its lettuce supply, the British government has been working on a plan.
The plan includes a pilot program in which growers will plant lettuce in England, but also the plan is open to any country in Europe.
So far, it is not clear if the pilot program will succeed in expanding its supply.
