Posted August 13, 2019 06:15:23Nintendo is currently preparing to launch a new strategy to fight video game competition and its plans for how that will affect the video game industry.
According to a report from IGN, the company is going to move away from the idea of selling console games and instead will focus on a new way of competing with its competitors.
The company is also planning to use its new strategy in the form of a “mobile business plan.”
Nintendo is reportedly looking at ways to leverage its vast video game library and game development resources in a bid to compete with larger video game companies.
It is rumored that the strategy could see Nintendo moving away from selling console game bundles, with the company going after smaller retailers and developers who can offer a more affordable price point for its video game hardware.
Nintendo has previously struggled with its console gaming business, and its new plans will likely only increase its reliance on the consoles’ massive libraries of games.
Nintendo is still not set to release any new Wii U consoles, but the company does plan to introduce new games on consoles in the future.
