Businesses in Canada are starting to get a new hope after bookstores around the country were forced to close for a while this year due to an over-reliance on online sales.
The Canada Business Council has launched a program to encourage bookstores to move their business plans to Canada.
According to the council, bookstores in the U.S. are the second-most-visited business in Canada after Canada, with a total of 1.5 million bookstores and more than 700,000 online bookstores.
In 2017, Canada’s bookstores had an online book sale total of about $1.6 billion.
The Council said the new program aims to encourage business planning that’s focused on Canadian businesses and Canadian-owned businesses.
The council says the program is part of a larger initiative called Canadian Business Innovation in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, or CAI.
CAI aims to increase the competitiveness of Canadian companies by connecting with their local communities.
The program will also allow business owners to have the ability to have more control over the direction of their businesses.CAI is being launched with the help of the Canadian Innovation Fund, which provides support to business development in Canada and the United States.
The program aims at connecting business owners with communities and encouraging them to be more connected to their communities.
